The Appalachian Family Reunion - January 17, 2015
Mama Rosie has organized the annual Gristle family reunion. Gristles from all over the three counties of swampland they call home have reunited at The Barn Inn. Also known as "Loretta's half way house and tattoo emporium" where Cousin Floyd is employed. (He got us a really great deal on the facilities) The Gristles are known for being a wild bunch and tonight will probably be no exception. But tonight is also is the 10th anniversary of Mama Gristle's boil lancing and the annual "Pork Princess" competition. All the girls will contend to be this year's new royalty. There will be a talent competition to decide this year's winner. (Get the hint ladies?) Two special impartial judges have been selected and invited to the reunion to make sure the competition is on the up and up. But, things won't be kosher for long. Jealousy will rear its ugly head and some devious plots will develop. Hold on to your coon skin caps as the Gristle family holds its annual reunion....Appalachian style.

  • "We were really looking forward to the murder mystery.  Then we got an email with the 'role list' and were really nervous as we're not very outspoken people.  The mystery dinner was great and very easy going with only light acting/participation."
