     Shop Holmes County, then upon arriving back to The Barn Inn, let us spoil you with a 30-minute foot massage for each of you by a licensed reflexologist.

Fun On The Farm













This package includes:

● Arrive at the Farm At Walnut Creek.
   Your tickets will be at the information booth.
● A Horse drawn wagon ride through a scenic wooded farm with hundreds of exotic animals. The animals will approach the wagon. If you wish, you may feed the buffalos, ostrich, Zebras, watusi's giraffes, Elk, Caribou, and many more animals!
● Tour the 2 proto-type animals homes.
● Gift shop and small bakery on the property.
● Walk around the many other caged birds, monkeys, etc.
 
3:30 pm Meet the tour guide at the information booth/gift shop and depart for the back-road tour.
 
5:00 Return to the Farm for those not going to the meal.

2 Hour Amish Artisans Back Road Tour




     Departure Time - 10:00 A.M. ~ 12:30 ~ 3:15 PM from Holmes Counties Amish Flea Market. (Located 1/2 mile East of Berlin on SR 39)

     Enjoy a 2 hour back road tour with a narration on the Amish Culture. We will visit 2 Amish artisans. (Artisans may vary by day)

Cost: $29 per person, Ages 12 and over,
         Ages 4-11, $2.50 per year of age.

Meal:
Add a meal in an Amish home for an additional $20 per person for the 3:15 PM tour. Children's prices available.

Blazin' The Trail - Ohio's First State Road Tour







1:00 PM Arrive at the Victorian House in Millersburg. It is located on SR 83 North, 1/2 mile from the square in Millersburg, Ohio. Tour the Historic, Victorian Home (featured on HGTV) There are 4 stories and many steps. e lobby and depart with the tour guide for a scenic, tour of Ohio's First State Road, called Port Washington Road. It will take you through beautiful Amish Farmlands.

5:00 PM Return to Millersburg. You will continue to your dinner at the Millersburg Hotel which was once a former Stagecoach Inn. Menu TBD soon.

Cost: $59 per person, Ages 14 and over,
         Ages 5-13, $4.50 per year of age.

2010 Progressive Meal Tour

























     Each person receives a cookbook of the recipes we ate on the tour in addition to a personalized wooden name tag!

7:45 AM Departs from the Amish and Mennonite Heritage Center. The Progressive Meal Tour gives us most of the day to explore the back roads, passing beautiful farm lands, buggies, and scenic views. It also gives me the chance to share in detail about our Amish Culture in Holmes County.

8:00 AM Begin with a hearty breakfast in an Amish home, followed by a stop at s Country Market. We'll start our back road tour with stops at several Amish artisans, such as candle makers, leather belt makers, and a unique attraction called Keim Lumber.

12:00 PM Lunch at Amish home # 2. Tour the historical mural, Behalt. Buggy ride or tour the proto-type one room school house. Visit the sisters who sell hand made quilts and rugs, an Amish family who makes and sells their handmade baskets. We'll make a comfort stop and limited time for shopping in the village of Kidron followed by a stop at the Amish "Wal-mart" (no it isn't what you think!)

5:30 PM Dinner at Amish home # 3 We always "look" for unique opportunities along the tour that may be happening and let you experience it first hand.

Cost: $139 per person

     This tour is from 1 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. and includes a meal in an Amish home.

Available Monday, Wednesday, Friday April 19-October 22, 2010

You will tour two formerly lived in Amish homes, enjoy a buggy ride, tour a one room school house and experience an exceptional evening meal in an Amish home. Moderate walking and stair steps. A minimum of 8 reservations are needed for the Amish lady to prepare a meal.

Cost: $75 per person, Tour & Dinner - Ages 14 and over,
         Ages 4-11, $5.50 per year of age.

Cost: $55 per person, For tour only, ages 14 and over. (Available at the 3:00 tour)

History & Heritage Tour








Amish History & Heritage Tour
     This tour package includes admission to see the historical mural, Behalt, which walks you through an artistic timeline of the history of the Amish and Mennonite cultures.

Itinerary:

11:30 Arrive at the Amish & Mennonite Heritage Center to tour the historical mural, "Behalt". (You may see the mural after the tour if necessary)

12:30
Depart with the local tour guide. * Tour will make 1 - 2 stops at Amish Artisans' small businesses along with teaching about the Amish Culture on scenic back roads.

  2:30 Return to Amish & Mennonite Heritage Center. * If you have made reservations to join a group at 5:30 PM for a meal in an Amish home, the directions to the home will be given to you on the tour.



Cost: $39 per person, Back road tour & Mural - Ages 12 and over,
         Ages 4-11, $3.50 per year of age.

3rd Annual Christmas Cookie Tour of Holmes County
     The Barn Inn will be all decked out in Christmas finery for a spectacular two-day holiday event! Celebrate the season and "Wrap up" a package of Christmas memories with an overnight stay on either night of the tour; Sunday, December 5 or Monday, December 6, 2010. Enjoy a dazzling tour from 1 - 6 p.m. where you will ramble through twelve of Amish Country's finest inns all dressed up for the holidays, sample sensational cookies, be inspired by decor, lights, trees, and live music in selected inns. Guests will receive a wrapped specialty cookie at each inn visited.

     Guests purchasing a room at The Barn Inn either night will enjoy an evening meal of soup, salad, dinner roll, and a dessert finale served in dining room. Guest rooms featured on the tour will be available for occupancy after 6:30 p.m.


Cost: $25 per adult, $15 per child. Please call the Barn Inn for details.
